Womack wins Hot Summer Nights Round One at ELS
Stanley’s Jason Womack was light on the scales after late model heats in Round One of Hot Summer Nights at East Lincoln Speedway. He figured that the added weight would fool with his set-up. But the scales worked in his favor when the dust had settled at the end of the night.
Pat Lindsay led the first 12 laps of the main event until he and Billy Thompson got together coming up on lap traffic in turn three. Brandon Atkinson, who had been running a strong third in his first-ever late model race, took over first. After a final caution and green-white-checkered finish, Atkinson crossed the line followed by Womack. But then fans noticed that the number 15 car was sitting quite a long time on the infield scale. After further review, his car was deemed too light and the win was awarded to Womack.
“I don’t know how we got here,” said the jubilant Womack who was joined in victory lane by family and friends. “We won our first late model race here 20 years ago Another’s misfortune was our luck tonight, but the win feels good. I want to thank everyone who helps us on the car.”
In Super Stock Fours, Denver’s Brian Nuhfer started out on the front row with Lee Oiler. Nuhfer led flag to flag despite half a dozen cautions in the first half of the race.
“I never thought I’d be here--I gotta fight the X every week. But I embrace racing against him—keeps me challenged,” said Nuhfer, referring to hot driver Shannon Barnhill whom he was second to at Carolina on Friday. Barnhill wasn’t at ELS on Saturday.

AC/DC, "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap." A classic. This 1981 American version of the Australian original pounds along nicely. But the album might be best know for the title cut, recognized by audiophiles as providing some of the most confounding lyrics
Camping: The great outdoors, campfires, beaches, fantastic scenery … and all for dirt cheap, which also describes what you'll be sleeping on. You're bound to have a camping spot nearby. Even if you aren't near a national forest or private campsite

"Think of airlines that sell tickets dirt-cheap. The airplane is going anyway; if it has empty seats, it's better off selling at any price above the incremental cost of carrying that one person, considering fuel, the transaction cost and so on.
"They are staging demonstrations there because we're not allowing them to take dirt-cheap fuel, cigarettes and other goods abroad," he said. "In the past, such people were called speculators. Indeed, they are speculators. So am I supposed to just watch
Boost Your Profits - Dirt Cheap Advertising! | Technibble
The cost of advertising your business can quickly add up, especially if you’re not careful. Every week I receive at least two phone calls from media agents promising me the world with their latest "in" way to advertise, unfortunately this comes with a premium price tag and no promises. After running my own business for several years I have developed a series of dirt cheap, down to earth methods of promoting my business. Oh no! I hear you cry, another post about how to market on Facebook. – I promise I will keep this short and to the point. Facebook is free to use, allows for your business to spread quickly among friends and customers and allows you interact with your customers in a forum they trust. You can also post pictures to help your customers gain familiarity with who might be showing up at their door. One slight caveat, if you are visible you are accountable so make sure you deliver on your promises!
Customer Referral Cards : Price -$50 / 1000 cards We all know that referrals are the most cost effective form of advertising, however they are notoriously difficult to generate consistently. I noticed a huge increase in the quantity and quality of my referrals when I printed and distributed my own customer referral cards. My referral cards were simple, on the back was my standard business card backing (a sample of our services and prices) but the front was quite different. Instead of the usual logo we had roughly the following “present this customer card to “store name” and receive a $10 discount for you and your friend.” Below this line was an un-laminated strip where our original customer could write their name or customer ID so we could track the cards and reward the discount. There were certain limitations with the cards, minimum spends etc. but you get the rough idea. Each time we performed a job the customer would receive five of these cards as well as a small instruction guide to show them what to do.
The cards work for people on a number of levels, firstly it is very simple. No complicated loyalty scheme or points to remember, just an easy to figure discount. Secondly the cards were effectively business cards, which people are accustomed to distributing anyway, on more than one occasion people rang us up and asked for more cards to give out at parties – how’s that for free advertising!
