Despega la inversión en Quintana Roo

Cancún, Qroo. La recuperación de inversión inmobiliaria en Quintana Roo avanza lenta, pero ya empieza a sentirse con proyectos por alrededor de 1,000 millones de dólares para los próximos dos años, informó a El Economista Juan Pablo Mirabent Pizarro, presidente de la Asociación Mexicana de Profesionales Inmobiliarios (AMPI).

Aunque hay situaciones negativas que ahuyentan la llegada de más capital, como la reciente resolución de la Suprema Corte contra la edificación en el Parque Nacional Tulum o la licitación del aeropuerto de la Riviera Maya, que fue declarada desierta, la prospectiva en lo general sigue siendo de recuperación paulatina, explicó el entrevistado.

En Cancún, dijo, está en puerta una inversión por 350 millones de dólares para complementar los desarrollos turístico-inmobiliarios de Puerto Cancún y Malecón Cancún, además de un nuevo hotel en Puerto Morelos, del Grupo Grand Residences, con una inversión de 100 millones de pesos.

En Malecón Cancún están en proceso de construcción por lo menos dos hoteles más, sin contar con las obras en marcha del propio malecón, que aunque están retrasadas son las que aglutinan en torno suyo el desarrollo de esa zona de la ciudad, enfocado al desarrollo de marinas y vivienda turístico-residencial, afirmó.

El Presidente de la AMPI manifestó que en el caso de Puerto Cancún se reactivará el desarrollo Olas Marinas, con una inversión cercana a 150 millones de dólares del grupo Bay View Grand, que consiste en un grupo de condominios exclusivos, además de lo que genere el proceso de comercialización por parte de un grupo español que espera generar ganancias por 100 millones de dólares en los próximos dos años.

EN COZUMEL

En destinos como Cozumel está la importante inversión de la Marina Fonatur, que es inicialmente de 300 millones de pesos para acondicionar un área de 53 hectáreas para el atraque de 332 embarcaciones menores a 60 pies de eslora y 1.8 metros de calado, 854 cuartos hoteleros, 418 condominios y 55 viviendas tipo residencial unifamilliar.

Dicha obra espera atraer una inversión privada de aproximadamente 1,200 millones de pesos, según los cálculos del propio Fonatur, explicó Mirabent Pizarro.

En el caso de la Riviera Maya, mencionó que está en puerta un nuevo proyecto hotelero del Grupo Meliá, sin contar con las adecuaciones a centros de hospedaje del Grupo Kohr. También está anunciada la nueva etapa del desarrollo de Grupo Sunset con una inversión por 100 millones de dólares.

The beach resort of Puerto Morelos lies on Mexico’s Riviera Maya between Cancun and Playa del Carmen. Dive shops offer trips out to the reef, about 500m from the shore, where you can explore this amazing underwater world. Around Puerto Morelos there are some fascinating cenotes where you can swim in crystal clear freshwater. These cenotes are limestone sinkholes which are very often accessed via caves.

There are plenty of activities away from the beach including golf, tennis, horse riding, cycling, fitness centres and yoga. Many of the hotels offer classes including Spanish language, tequila tasting, dancing and painting.

Along the Mayan Riviera there are lots of interesting places to visit including  Chichen Itza, Xcaret, Xel-ha and Tulum. Take a trip by ferry to the island of Cozumel, swim with the dolphins or even take a guided trip through the jungle. Whatever you choose to do on your last minute holidays to Mexico, you won’t be disappointed.
